Sistec Walking Tour: a special initiative dedicated to our employees and their families.

The second edition of the Sistec Walking Tour was held on 3 August 2018, an initiative dedicated to our employees and contractors and their families.

A unique opportunity to get together. We’ve agreed to meet over a place called Crosetta to undertake a suggestive route in the wood of Cansiglio, among the hemlocks, beech trees and expanded fields with innumerable karst depressions. The day has ended with an amazing dinner and a wonderful churrasco, a real culinary treat.

Walking and moments of relax like these become for SISTEC another way to make networking, new places for socialization and collaboration, activities with which our collaborators are getting together to talk and to share new experiences and ideas, in a different and more authentic context, outside the office and routine. Sistec takes care of its employees, by developing more inclusive policies and recognizing individual, yet essential, employee needs from a human perspective.

Our employees work for the company’s growth and development and we want to create value through the well-being of our employees, in synergy with our territory.  People and Territory are for us a priority.

“SCHOOL-WORK ALTERNATION” PROJECT

News
“SCHOOL-WORK ALTERNATION” PROJECT

SISTEC joins for the second consecutive year the program “School-Work Alternation“. This innovative education method brought in by Law no. 53/2003, and disciplined by a Legislative Decree no. 77/2005, enables students to acquire knowledge and training experiences through internship in SISTEC.

Every intern has a designated company supervisor/tutor who is responsible for providing orientation and supervision, an employee that possesses expertise in the area in which the intern work. These experiences put the staff involved in a unique position to support students, to transmit their know-how and stimulate the students to face the labour market and our business.

SISTEC, in 2018, involves in the project a great number of technical and professional schools (IS Galilei di “Conegliano”, l’ITIS “Max Planck” di Lancenigo, l’ISIS “Arturo Malignani” di Udine, l’ITST “J.F. Kennedy” di Pordenone, l’IPSIA “Piero Della Valentina” di Sacile).

The strong collaboration between SISTEC and the scholastic system actives a virtuous cycle that strengthens the education and career guidance, the transfer of knowledge and the development of our territory.

SISTEC AND THE FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

News
SISTEC AND THE FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

The term Industry 4.0 is the expression universally recognized for defining the “Fourth Industrial Revolution“.This expression has been used for the first time at the Hannover Fair 2011, in Germany, to point out and introduce a wide range of new technologies and new models of business in the Industry.

Advanced production systems, robotics, autonomous vehicles and “cobot“, are examples of enabling technologies of Industry 4.0, already available and often exploited in the market, that made the progress possible if they are used within a business environment context and may result to a significant increase of competitiveness for the stakeholders that are involved.

SISTEC has allowed the opportunities that the Fourth Industrial Revolution can offer. The mix of know-how acquired during the years, has enabled SISTEC, from 2008, to look for and to offer integrated solutions to its customers for the implementation of their projects. The rapid developments of the market have challenged SISTEC to adapt to the requests of its customers and to act as a single competent interlocutor so as to design and development the whole automated process plant. The integration of the manufacturing process by a single, well-established and expert company, allows customers to obtain a higher quality-products at lower costs.

The interconnection but also the data exchange with the existing production plants has allowed SISTEC to make the production processes manageable, analysable and to optimize production, costs and business strategies.

The technologies “enabling” individualized from the Boston Consulting are nine:

  • Big Data and Analytics: in an Industry 4.0 context, the collection and comprehensive evaluation of data from many different sources and customer management systems will become standard to support real-time decision making.
  • Advanced production Systems: autonomous vehicles, robots and co-bot to automate different processes with different budgets and programming skills.
  • Simulation: simulations will be used more extensively in plant operations to leverage real-time data and mirror the physical world in a virtual model, which can include machines, products, and humans.
  • Horizontal and Vertical System Integration: in Industry 4.0, companies, departments, functions, and capabilities will become much more cohesive, as cross-company, universal data-integration networks evolve and enable truly automated value chains.
  • Internet of Things: more devices must be enriched with embedded computing. This will allow field devices to communicate and interact both with one another and with more centralized controllers, as necessary.
  • CyberSecurity: in an Industry 4.0 context, secure and reliable communications, sophisticated identities and an access management of machines and users will be essential.
  • Cloud: machine data and functionality will increasingly be deployed to the cloud, enabling more data-driven services for production systems.
  • Additive Manufacturing: with Industry 4.0, additive-manufacturing methods will be often used to produce small batches of customized products.
  • Augmented Reality: augmented-reality-based systems will support a variety of services.

In Italy these technologies are promoted by the Italian Technology Cluster “Intelligent Factories”, which SISTEC is Partner. CFI is an association that includes large and medium-small companies, universities and research centres, company associations and other stakeholders active in the advanced manufacturing sector.

The introduction of these technologies inside a new production plant but also in an existing one has already shown that Industry 4.0 is a paradigm of value, that is able to intervene on many aspects:

  • To increase the efficiency of the production.
  • To allow great flexibility.
  • To improve the quality and the safety of the job environment.
  • To encourage the process of preventive maintenance.
  • To give greater added value to all the ancillary services.

SISTEC: INNOVATIVE SME, RECOGNIZED AND CERTIFIED.

News
SISTEC: INNOVATIVE SME, RECOGNIZED AND CERTIFIED.

SISTEC is enrolled, from May 2017, to the Special Section of the Register of the Innovative SME. The continuous tension to the search and the innovation, a qualified staff and a strong know-how are the characteristics that have allowed us to reach this important result.

SMEs are a new typology of enterprise introduced by the “Investment Compact” (Decree-Law No 3/2015 converted with amendments by law No 33 of 24 March 2015) introduced with the aim of strengthening Italy’s competitiveness and raising awareness of technological innovations in all economic sectors.

A company may be recognized like an Innovative SME if it has the following features:

  • to employ less than 250 people and with an annual turnover of less than EUR 50 million (2003/361/EC);
  • to be established as an incorporated company, including cooperatives;
  • to have the head office in Italy (or in another Country, member of the European Union or in one of the States which have adopted the European Economic Space Agreement, if it has a production plant or a branch in Italy);
  • The existence of an audited financial statement;
  • cannot be quoted on a stock exchange;
  • cannot to be enrolled in to the special section of the Register of the Enterprises that included the innovative start-ups and the certified business incubators.

The company would have to demonstrate a strong innovation orientation and must have at least two of the following criteria:

  • the total volume of research and development spending has to be equivalent to 3 %;
  • a qualified staff (1/5 of post-docs, grad students and researchers or 1/3 of postgraduates);
  • owner/depositary of a brevet or owner of a recorded software.

Innovation is the key of the success and development of SISTEC and that’s allowed us to meet necessary requirements raised by the Law and to become an innovative enterprise.

In a context as that Italian, dominated by small and medium enterprises, the “expansive policy” promoted by the “Investment Compact” represents a logical evolution for an industrial policy that, through the technological development, intends to promote a sustainable growth, a new business culture characterised by powerful connections with the world of Academia, Research and Universities and to be opened to international flows of human and financial capital.The valuation of Innovative SMEs is included among the measures contained in the 2017 Budget Law that targets, in particular, “National Industry 4.0” Plan as main Italian tool to regain competitiveness on the global market. The industrial policy, contained in the Plan, has the task of supporting the enterprises to face the challenges and the opportunities of the fourth Industrial Revolution and plays an active role in creating an environment conducive to innovation.

In this context, SMEs like SISTEC are increasingly proving to be a strategic lever for the economic development of Italy and today they represent an integral part of the “National Industry 4.0 Plan.
